WHAT: The New Day is Austin’s premier soul night, featuring a new top level DJ flown in from around the country every month. The New Day is not your average soul night; instead this is a party that showcases talent from the heaviest collectors in the soul & funk community nationwide. This month marks the sixth New Day and we’re going strong. This is the third time we have had the pleasure to partner with The Highball and we are hoping to make it the party’s permanent home. This month, coolhands and BSears are proud to announce guest DJs: Wilson and High-C (Dallas / Rehash).

Rehash is the production/DJ duo consisting of High-C and Wilson from Dallas, Texas. They're the two like-minded vinyl nerds who brought you the critically acclaimed "Last Part" b/w "Mind Under Matter" 45 in January of 2001. This effort constituted the first release on their privately owned and operated label RM-Sound which has since seen 3 more 7"s, two 12" EPs, as well as a 70 minute mix CD. Outside of RM-Sound, Rehash has been featured on a number of singles, compilations and DJ mixes over the years.
